The film tells the story of Alibaba, a poor woodcutter, who becomes wealthy after finding a secret cave which contains various treasures and antiques. He resolves to keep his source of wealth a secret to lead a peaceful life. Whether he keeps it a secret and protects the treasure from falling into the wrong hands forms the rest of the story.
Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalum was shot in Gevacolor and is notable for being the first Tamil and South Indian full-length colour film. It is based on the story Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves from One Thousand and One Nights. It is also the second Tamil film adaptation of that story, after the 1941 film of the same name. Filming took place mainly at Mysore and Yercaud. The soundtrack was composed by Susarla Dakshinamurthi, and re-used many songs from the 1954 Hindi film Alibaba Aur 40 Chor. It was also the final film of Ramachandran’s three-film contract with Modern Theatres.
Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalum was released on 14 January 1956 during the festive occasion of Thai Pongal. It was a milestone in Ramachandran’s career and became a success at the box office which was largely attributed to it being the first full-length colour film in South India. The songs also attained popularity. The film was later dubbed in Telugu as Ali Baba 40 Dongalu.

Marziana, a Baghdad-based dancer, is abducted by the tyrant Sher Khan, commander of the notorious king Amir Kasim Khan, to his palace. She is rescued by Alibaba, an impoverished woodcutter who fights with Sher Khan and vanquishes him. Marziana and her sidekick Dowlath find refuge in Alibaba’s house who lives with his sister Ayisha and servant Bulbul. Marziana learns that they are the siblings of Kasim, who had driven them out at the instigation of his cruel wife Salima. Marziana and Alibaba later fall in love.
One day, when Alibaba goes to cut wood, he chances upon the cavernous hideout of Abu Hussain, the notorious leader of forty dacoits, and overhears the secret code to enter and exit the cave. After the dacoits leave, Alibaba uses the code word, enters the hideout, and takes some of the cave’s wealth which he uses to help poor people nearby. Both Alibaba and Marziana become wealthy overnight.
Kasim becomes jealous when he hears about his brother’s fortune, and wants to know the secret behind this. Under Salima’s guidance, he invites Alibaba and his household for a feast. After cunningly obtaining the secret of the dacoits’ cave, Kasim sentences Alibaba to death, falsely accusing him of attempted murder. Marziana pretends to heed Kasim’s order. She declares that Alibaba has been unfaithful to her and he deserves this retribution. Taking a knife, Marziana acts as though she means to kill Alibaba, but instead cuts the ropes that bind his hands. A fight ensues between Alibaba and Kasim’s thugs (during which Salima is accidentally killed), but Alibaba subdues them and escapes with his allies.
Kasim enters the cave and greedily starts collecting many treasures. He soon forgets the code word, and is left trapped. The dacoits arrive and kill him for entering their secret cave. Alibaba later visits the cave and is shocked to see his brother dead; he takes away the corpse. After Kasim’s death is announced publicly, Alibaba is declared the new king of Baghdad and everyone rejoices. Meanwhile, the dacoits return to their cave and find that Kasim’s corpse is missing. Realising that someone else has entered their cave, they start searching for the mystery person.
From the cobbler Gulam’s assertion that the woodcutter Alibaba had become wealthy overnight, Abu Hussain realises that it is Alibaba who discovered the secret of his cave, but kills the cobbler afterwards. He then plans to kill Alibaba. Having his men hide inside barrels, Abu Hussain comes to Alibaba’s house disguised as an oil merchant seeking shelter for the night. However, Marziana overhears him whispering to his men, and realises his true identity. When she dances at a banquet Alibaba hosts in honour of the guest, Dowlath and Bulbul roll the barrels one by one into the swirling waters as per the plan. After Marziana tries unsuccessfully to stab the ’oil merchant’, she exposes him as Abu Hussain; Alibaba is shocked. This leads to a fight between the two men, which results in Abu Hussain kidnapping Marziana and fleeing to the cave. Alibaba chases him and reaches the cave where he kills Abu Hussain after an intense battle. After Alibaba rescues Marziana, they marry and continue to perform social work.Cast[edit]Male actors

In addition to producing, Modern Theatres founder T. R. Sundaram also directed the film.[7] A. J. Dominic was signed as the film’s art director, while W. R. Subba Rao, L. Balu, and Murasoli Maran were in charge of the cinematography, editing, and dialogues respectively.[2][8] A. K. Chopra and K. N. Dhandayudapani Pillai were in charge of the choreography.[9]Casting[edit]
M. G. Ramachandran was cast as Alibaba,[2] this being the final film of his three-film contract with Modern Theatres, following Manthiri Kumari (1950) and Sarvadhikari (1951).[10] He was paid ₹12,500 (equivalent to ₹1.1 million or US$15,000 in 2018)[b] for acting in the film.[12] The screenplay was written in a way that would suit his then ’swashbucking’ image,[13] as opposed to the original story where the character was a ’gullible simpleton’.[14]P. S. Veerappa was cast as Abu Hussain, the leader of the forty thieves.[15][16]Padmini was initially given the role of the female lead Marziana, but she was replaced subsequently by Bhanumathi Ramakrishna.[17] Bhanumathi liked the film, one of her earliest in Tamil, because she found the character a ’go-getter’.[18] In her autobiography, Bhanumathi noted that after she heard the story, she considered her role to be much better than that in Missamma (1955), from which she was fired after filming only four reels, adding that after she accepted to work on this film, she got more acting offers from Tamil film producers.[19]
Ramachandran’s elder brother M. G. Chakrapani was cast in the role of Alibaba’s elder brother Kassim.[20][21]K. Sarangkapani was cast as Marziana’s sidekick Dowlath,[20]K. A. Thangavelu as the cobbler Gulam,[20]M. N. Rajam as Alibaba’s servant Bulbul,[20] Vidhyavathi as Kassim’s wife Salima,[20][22] and Sushila as Alibaba’s sister Ayisha.[20] Nandaram, O. A. K. Thevar and K. K. Soundar played Sher Khan, Hameed and Abdullah respectively.[20]Waheeda Rehman, who later became a leading actress in Hindi cinema, appeared as a dancer in the number ’Salaam Babu’,[3][23] while the dancer duo Sayee Subbulakshmi appeared in the song ’Naama Aaduvadhum’.[20][24]Filming[edit]
Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalum was shot entirely on indoor sets, with the exception of a few horse riding sequences. For changes of scenes, irises and wipes were used which, according to Encyclopaedia of Indian Cinema by Ashish Rajadhyaksha and Paul Willemen, added a ’sense of anachronism’ to the film.[25] It was also the first full-length Tamil colour film,[26] shot in Gevacolor.[10][27] Rajadhyaksha and Willemen claim it to be the first South Indian film in Gevacolor,[15] despite the fact that the 1955 Tamil film Kanavaney Kankanda Deivam had a few sequences in Gevacolor.[28] The scenes involving horses, which belonged to the Mysore Reserve Police, were shot at Mysore over ten days.[29] The thieves’ cave, designed by Dominic,[30] was created at two locations — the exterior cave scenes with the horses were shot at Mysore, while the interior scenes were shot at Yercaud near Salem.[29][31] Sundaram brought twenty horses from Mysore for the shoot at Yercaud.[29] The jewels and gold coins featured in the film were actually clay painted in gold.[32] One of the horses rode by Ramachandran was Sundaram’s own.[33]
In one particular scene, Ramachandran objected to the dialogue where he had to swear in the name of Allah, as he was then associated with the rationalist Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam. He suggested that the dialogue be changed to swearing in the name of his mother, but was finally asked by the director to use the original dialogue.[30][34] When only a song and a fight sequence were left to be finished, Ramachandran could not appear for the shoot, since he had another film to shoot for.[c] As Sundaram was unwilling to wait for Ramachandran’s return, those portions were eventually shot with Karadimuthu, who acted as a body double for Ramachandran.[30][35]Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalum was processed at the Film Centre, Bombay (now Mumbai).[8] The final length of the film was 16,789 feet (5,117 m).[36]Themes and influences[edit]
Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalum is based on the story of Ali Baba from One Thousand and One Nights.[37] Although the tale and costumes are middle eastern, Marziana, a Muslim, often refers to Yama, the Hindu god of death.[38] Sri Lankan historian Sachi Sri Kantha noted that various Ramachandran films reflect the 1950s trend of films being ’costume dramas’ that focus on princes and folk heroes, citing Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalum as an example.[39]
Ramachandran was an avid fan of action heroes like Errol Flynn, John Barrymore, and Douglas Fairbanks. Throughout the 1950s, he acted in films that justified his status as an action hero.[40]Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalum portrayed him as a swashbuckling action hero who also has a Robin Hood-like agenda of serving the poor and the downtrodden with the treasure he finds in the cave.[40] Udhav Naig of The Hindu noted that through Alibabavum 40 Thirudargalum and several other films, Ramachandran ’posited a cleverly-crafted image of being one among the working classes and poorer sections, raising a fist against injustice.’[41]
Rajadhyaksha and Willemen, in Encyclopedia of Indian Cinema, compare it to Ramachandran’s other films like Malaikkallan (1954) and Madurai Veeran (1956) as they are also Robin Hood-inspired, and because Bhanumathi plays a damsel in distress in them.[42] The French website Jol-Press compared it to Manthiri Kumari because both films feature Ramachandran as a Flynn-inspired hero.[43]Music[edit]
The film’s original soundtrack and score were composed by Susarla Dakshinamurthi,[44] while the lyrics were written by A. Maruthakasi.[45][46] T. R. Sundaram decided to use the same tunes set from the Hindi film Alibaba Aur 40 Chor (1954). Udumalai Narayana Kavi was offered to write the lyrics. He declined, saying that he would only write lyrics for fresh tunes and recommended Maruthakasi, who was finalised.[47] The song ’Azhagaana Ponnu Naan’ is based on ’Dekho Ji Shanti Nikla’, ’Masila Unmai Kathale’ is based on ’Ae Saba Unse Kah Jara’ and ’Chinnanjiru Chitte’ is based on ’Chalo Chalo Chale Hum Babul Ke Tale’, all from Alibaba Aur 40 Chor.[48]
The dilrupa[d] in the songs were played by Shanmugham.[50] ’Azhagaana Ponnu Naan’ is set in the Mayamalavagowlaraga.[51][52] The opening line of this song was later used in a song titled ’Azhagana Ponnu Thaan’ from Nenjirukkum Varai (2006).[53] ’Ullasa Ulagam’ was later remixed by Pravin Mani and Vidyasagar in Jayamkondaan (2008).[54] ’Chinnanchiru Chitte’ was remixed in Muruga (2007).[55] Elements from the song were also used in ’Andangkaka’ from Anniyan (2005).[56][57] ’Masila Unmai Kathale’ was later included on Legends: A. M. Rajah, a five-disc compilation album that was released in 2016.[58]
The songs received positive reviews with ’Azhagaana Ponnu Naan’, ’Masila Unmai Kathale’, and ’Ullaasa Ulagam’ becoming popular among the masses.[46]Charulatha Mani, writing for The Hindu, called ’Azhagaan Ponnu Naan’ a ’peppy’ song.[51] Rajalakshmi Sivalingam of The Hindu (Tamil) called ’Masila Unmai Kathale’, written by A. Tamil film historian S. Theodore Baskaran wrote in his 1996 book The Eye of the Serpent, ’The film’s cast of M.G. Ramachandran as the swash-buckling Alibaba, Bhanumathi as the singing-heroine ... and Thangavelu as the comedian was the main factor contributing to its huge success.’ He also praised the performance of P. S. Veerappa, and said that another factor attributed to the film’s success that it was the first full-length South Indian colour film.[71] In Encyclopedia of Indian Cinema, Rajadhyaksha and Willemen said the film was remembered ’mainly for MGR’s swashbuckling stunts (it is one of the star’s most characteristic 50s genre films), the elaborate group dances and Bhanumathi’s very popular song-and-dance routines.’[38] Following Bhanumathi’s death in 2005, S. R. Ashok Kumar of The Hindu wrote that the film showcased one of her ’best known performances.’[72]
Dancer and writer Lakshmi Viswanathan, who saw the film during its original release in 1956 at the Chennai-based Chitra theatre, wrote for The Hindu 2012, ’We children could not contain our excitement when the first colour film in Tamil ... was released in Chitra. We saw it again and again with the thrill that only children of those days could experience.’[73] Sachi Sri Kantha felt that the Gevacolor looked somewhat ’washed out’ and ’inferior’ to other colouring processes like Eastmancolor and versions of Fujicolor. He said the film succeeded with the Tamil masses because ’it was a first time experience they could enjoy the [colour] in totality. This is because illiterate Tamil masses would have watched Hollywood movies produced in [colour] for entertainment. NifModify is a tool which will fix missing tangent and bitangent data in meshes. This can be valuable to modders porting meshes over to SSE, but also to users who may experience rendering issues with meshes from mods they port for their personal use. It’s only available in command line.
SSE NIF Optimizer is a tool which will convert meshes to the new SE format while cleaning and fixing various issues found on the mesh.Using NIF Optimizer is a one way trip for the meshes. This means the new meshes from using the tool can no longer be used in Skyrim LE. They will only work in SE. Authors maintaining two versions of their mods for each platform, may want to try NifModify before using NIF Optimizer. If NifModify allows the meshes to render properly in SSE, then some maintenance work can be saved as the SE version of the mod will work in Skyrim LE. If not, then the author will have to maintain two separate versions of files for their mods. After converting many mods to SE, there’s been very little reason to use NIF Optimizer.

Many have hinted that GTA 6 is still a long way off, but some also hint at why that could be a good thing for the game and its developer.
Ever since the series’ earliest days on PC, fan-created mods for Grand Theft Auto games have kept each iteration interesting for years after the initial release date. Causing mayhem around Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto 4 was fun, but it was even more fun when you were able to do it as Iron Man in the middle of a zombie apocalypse (yes, those mods exist).
The mod scene for the GTA community is vast and passionate, but Rockstar didn’t do much to encourage it with GTA V, likely because of the focus on Grand Theft Auto Online. Rockstar has an opportunity to bring more focus to mods in a big way with GTA 6, and functionality exists to even let console players access them on next-gen, specifically the Xbox Series X and possibly PS5.
This GTA 5 mod essentially gives the game next-gen graphics.
Mods are fan-made content that allows people to modify and alter a game’s contents and allow players to put things not played by the developers in the games. While mods can be just a simple as bug fixes for a broken game, some modders also use them to create hilarious content that would never be allowed legally. That’s how we got things like Thomas the Tank Enginein The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim or Iron Man in a GTA game.
While Rockstar doesn’t do much to support the modding community, that definitely doesn’t mean it is dead. Tons of fantastic mods and funny videos have still come from players who modify the game to cause pure chaos. With GTA 6, Rockstar would take a note out of Bethesda’s book and encourage mods across all platforms.
Rockstar’s games are known for their extremely high production value, interesting stories, and huge sandbox worlds that players can mess around in. In previous GTA games, cheat codes already allow players to mess with the game, giving them access to every weapon, invincibility, a five-star police rating, and more. Pluraleyes 4.1 free. Mods would only serve as an extension of that. Rockstar could handpick mods to support on console, and interested players could have fun with them in the game’s single-play modes.

They even made attempts to bring mods that weren’t going to cause any legal problems to consoles like Xbox One so those players could get a taste of these community creations. Of course, this raises questions of if Rockstar should market or sell the mods. Something like Bethesda Creation Club could work well with Grand Theft Auto 6 if implemented well.
Regardless of the legal aspects of modding that would need to get worked out, it’s time that console players get a chance to embrace this vibrant community on PC. While Rockstar would have to be the middleman in this process, it would only bolster and strengthen the community. Especially if GTA Online because its own separate product and GTA 6 is a standalone single-player game, then it would be smart for Rockstar to give players as many tools as possible to mess around in the game’s sandbox. It was time for TVPaint Animation to get a new face. It is done now !
Colors are darker, icons are grey and redesigned : all was made to give a familiar and pleasant look to TVPaint, whatever if you are a long time user or a newcomer.
You prefer clear interfaces ? No problem, if ’Orage’ (means ’storm’ in French) does not suit you, a light interface with darker icons is available in preferences. Various improvements in the Timeline
In order to make the use of TVPaint Animation easier than before, the Timeline has been improved too.
From now, you will find 5 buttons at the bottom left corner :
- ’Notes’ displays the Timeline for Notes.
- ’Sound’ displays the space to manage soundtracks.
- ’Color Groups’ opens a panel dedicated to Color Groups management.
- ’Background’ allows to change the background display of the drawing space : None, Color or Check.
- ’Start Frame’ allows to choose the start frame between 0, 1 or the value you prefer. A new way to manage Color Groups
To make the interface more clear, the old colored squares visible in the Timeline have been withdrawn to let more space to more useful buttons (read above).
Color Groups and their various options have been moved in their very own panel.
Thanks to this panel, you will access more quickly to the various Color Groups’ features, such as ’Set a Password to protect this Group’, ’Set this Group (in)visible’ or ’Hide / Display Groups’.
A ’Refresh’ button is even here to display only the current groups used in your project. Image Library
In order to store your textures, your model-sheets and your references, TVPaint Animation 11 integrates an Image Library. Items saved may come from an external file (JPG, TGA, PNG, etc.), from current image (from current layer) or from current display (all layers merged).
The library is embedded in your projects : that way, you are sure you will always use the good references when you opening your TVPaint file. Moreover, if you share your project through the Share Manager (Pro feature only), the library will be sent too. Layer Preset Manager
Each artist has his own way to work. That’s why TVPaint Animation 11 includes now a Layer Preset Manager. This panel allows you to create different layer presets with many options :
- layer type
- duration
- structure
- color group
- prefix
- etc.
Each preset can be named, saved and imported. For 2K and 4K screens : double TVPaint interface
Our screens (computers, TV, tablets) become more and more powerful and offer now 2K and even 4K definitions !

Year after year, new features and panels have been added in TVPaint Animation. The old categories were vague and unclear. That’s why we reorganized the different panels into new categories :
- Animation (contains assistant panel for animation, such as the Light Table or the Stopwatch)
- Drawing (contains tools that you need when you draw, such as Papers or Line Smoothing)
- Show (to show or hide additional elements, such as Coordinates or Sound)
- FX Tools (to open the FX stack and other FX assistant tools)
- Others A new layer type : CTG layer
TVPaint Animation 11 includes a new layer type that highly simplifies coloring and texturing process : it is named Color & Texture Generator layer (aka CTG layer).
This layer can apply colors and textures, depending on one or several sources of your choice. These flat colors do not let any blank (they fill the whole shape) and are 100% opaque (which is necessary for the compositing process).
Using a powerful algorithm,this CTG layer does not care to know if your lines are closed or not. You can even color sketched animations, without worrying about ink and clean. Manage color libraries
CTG layers allows yourself to generate color libraries.
These colors can be added manually, by selecting the colors you want, or simply by using them directly in the drawing space. Each color can be named, so you can identify them quickly.
Once your library is finished, you can :
- lock it, so you will use the good colors and never risk to add undesired tints ;
- save it as a file and use it in another project.
As colors are indexed, you even have the possibility to modify a color nuance and apply this change on your whole sequence, just in a few click. Generate textures with CTG Layer
Once your sequence has colors, you can track one or several color area (choose the ones you want) and apply textures (that you saved before in the Image Library).
This powerful tool gets very useful, especially to apply background textures, a stain a clothes or a specific pattern (like a book cover, for example).
Thanks to a grid whose you can set the rigidity and number of points, you can place the texture everywhere you want frame per frame or you can let this tool work for you. FX : ’Brush Spreading’ & ’Inlay Texture’
If applying textures from CTG layers does not suit you, these 2 new FX will satisfy you.
• ’Brush Spreading’ uses the custom brush of your choice to redraw a shape’s outline. Moreover, this FX gives good results if you want to modify a picture and give it a painted looking :
• ’Inlay texture’ uses an image source (paper, custom brush), and makes it mold the whole shape to give it an embossed design or a painting looking (results depends on the brush and the shape). Chromatic Wheel

Lines, ellipses, perspectives with several vanishing points, grids, image references, safe area outlining.. All these heads-up displayed tools bring a significant assistance to the construction and animation of drawings, both in volume and perspective.
Combines with the Image Library, you can use image guides as color palettes or visual references for your drawings. Incredible Warp Tool
With our new warp tool (available in the main panel), you can now distort, stretch or bend your drawings as if they were bubble gum. The funny aspect aside, this great tool becomes fastly indispensable, as it allows you to adjust even the tiniest inaccuracy in a drawing with unsurpassed ease of use.
Combine this feature with the Image Library to simulate Cut-out animation. Line Smoothing
Line Smoothing, added for the first time in TVPaint Animation 9.5, has been revisited in this version 11.
Formerly available in ’Shape Settings’, the Line Smoothing gets now its own panel and its own icon in the Main Panel.
Moreover, new options has been added :
- 2 smooth types : Average and Pulled String
- HUD option checkable An Eraser tool by default in the Tool Panel
Even if it still possible to turn any brush into an eraser with TVPaint, many users requested a default eraser, easily reachable.
It’s done now ! ’Special Brush’ and ’Warp Brush’ have been merged to let the place to the Eraser. Anti-Aliasing can be used in all filling tools
Asked many times for several months, an Anti-aliasing option is now available for all filling tools. Flip the way you like
There are as many ways to ’flip’ an animation as there are animators. And, obviously, we want to satisfy everyone : that’s why a Flip panel has been created.
Thanks to this panel, you can configure different ways to flip your animations :
- identify your flips with a name
- choose their limits (the project, the current clip, the current layer..)
- choose the checkpoints (images, instance’s heads, image marks..)
- define shortcuts ’Auto Break’ & ’Auto Create Frame’ are now layer depending
Until now, these 2 features, respectively added in TVPaint Animation 9 and 10, were a global parameter in your TVPaint configuration.
In TVPaint Animation 11, these 2 options will be layer depending. You can enable or disable these features thanks to these 2 icons :
Of course, these parameters can be configured through the Layer Preset Manager. Faster Proxy
Proxy is about 25% faster than before. This gain allows the software to calculate images and export them more quickly. Light Table improvements
The most useful tool to animate in TVPaint has been adjusted too :
• A new ’Tint’ mode is available and turns to be really handy with filled shapes.
• Out-of-Pegs value can be changed with values (so you don’t need to touch the HUD). Drag and Drop an image sequence : small changes
This unknown feature added in TVPaint Animation 10 is now more visible thanks to pop-up that displays when you move selected images. Auto Save is now possible !
It’s finally done ! Thanks to TVPaint Animation 11, save automatically the files you are using. Combine this feature to the Auto Backup and you ensure yourself to never ever lose your work in case of crash system or power cut.
Save options are now so numerous, they have now their own tab in the Preferences panel. Display more information in your exported projects

Unlike emulator applications such as vDos and DOSBox, NTVDMx64 is fully integrated with Windows, with the same access to the Windows file system and ports that NTVDM has under 32-bit Windows. For example, a DOS application running under NTVDMx64 can print directly to LPT1 if the computer has a parallel port; this is impossible under DOSBox (although possible with vDos through a configuration option).
NTVDMx64 is not my work! It is a patched version of Microsoft’s original NTVDM, based on the leaked source code of Windows NT, and patched by a programmer who calls himself ’Leecher1337.’ The leaked source code may not be distributed legally, so, in order to avoid legal problems, Leecher1337 publishes only patch files that contain modifications to the original code. These patch files may be downloaded from his GitHub page. With the proper development environment, the patched Windows NT code can be compiled to build a 64-bit version of NTVDM, which Leecher1337 has named NTVDMx64.
Leecher1337 does not distribute a compiled version of his patched version, but I have obtained a copy, together with an installer, which may be downloaded here (in versions for sixteen languages). I did not build this copy; I obtained it from another source. To install NTVDMx64, run INSTALL.BAT, and restart your system when prompted. If you want, you may uninstall it from the Control Panel or PC Settings. This installer is frequently updated to match the latest version of Leecher1337’s code. (Updated October 2020.)

JetBlue policy foremotional support animals
JetBlue announced their ESA policy on their official website, stating that they permit health, clean and well-behaved emotional support animals on board at no additional charge.
The airline clearly defines Emotional Support Animals as animals that provide comfort to passengers and alleviate their anxiety, PTSD or other diagnosed mental disorders. Note that JetBlue renewed its ESA policy on July 1, 2018 and became more restrictive regarding ESA requirements (see below). Additionally, each passenger may take only one accepted emotional support animal. All ESA travelers need to submit certain documents no later than 48 hours before departure. To have a stress-free trip, you should familiarize yourself with the following things.


1. Advanced notice
JetBlue requires ESA passengers to submit a Special Service Request (SSR) through their website or via an APP or to notify them about your animal at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) as soon as you booking the trip. Here are the reasons:
• Each airplane restricts the number of animals allowed in the cabin. Early notification will help you make a reservation for your ESA.American Airlines Esa

Prior to updating the ESA policy, JetBlue had not requested passengers to submit documentation ahead of traveling.
In the new policy, JetBlue requires you to submit a signed document for both you and the animal no later than 48 hours prior to departure. The required documents include:
• Medical/Mental Health Professional Form: Paperwork that states your medical condition and the needs of an emotional companion.
• Veterinary Health Form: includes the animal’s health certificate and vaccination record from a USDA approved veterinarian that must be completed within 10 days prior to departure.
• Customer Confirmation of Animal Behavior: JetBlue does not demand special training for emotional support animals, as it does for service dogs, but demands that animals in the cabin stay calm and behave well and not unruly to ensure the safety of other passengers. You will need to prepare a confirmation of your animal’s behavior, signed by your veterinarian or animal trainer.

3. Emotional support animal restrictions
The JetBlue ESA policy has quite strict limitations on ESAs. There are a few rules that ESA travelers must follow:
1) Animal restrictions
As of July 1, 2018, JetBlue only allows dogs, cats and miniature horses as emotional support animals onboard. They reject the animals that could pose unavoidable threats or dangers to the public, as follows:
• Hedgehogs
• Ferrets
• Insects
• Rodents
• Snakes
• Spiders
• Sugar gliders
• Reptiles
• Animals with tusks


2) Breed restrictions
All cat, dog and mini-horse breeds are permitted to enter the cabin as long as they are well behaved.
Unlike other airlines, JetBlue does not prohibit flat-faced dogs and cats (Pugs, British Shorthair, etc.) from flying (in the cabin). However, we still recommend that you think twice about the health problems associated with breathing difficulties due to their short nose.


3) Animal physical and behavioral restrictions
As mentioned above, emotional support partners should behave appropriately during the trip. Animals with the following issues are not considered a qualified ESA, based on the new ESA policy.
• Animals with odor or unclean body
• Animals with a poor health condition
• Animals that behave unruly or aggressively, such as barking, growling, scratching and other disturbing behaviors.


4) Number of animals
A passenger can only take ONE emotional support animal into the cabin.
5) Large animals
JetBlue does not permit animals to travel in the cargo hold. Therefore, if your ESA is too large to stay in front of your seat, you probably need to book another seat for your emotional companion or choose other airlines that allow cargo travel.


4. Preparation tips for the flight
There are some requirements you need to know before traveling or while onboard.
• Seat: Emotional support animals cannot occupy a seat unless you have booked a seat for your furry friend in advance. Otherwise, the animals must stay on the floor or sit on your lap. Also, animals cannot roam freely throughout the cabin, sit in emergency exit rows or occupy foot space of adjacent seats.
• Carrier: JetBlue does not require your ESA to travel in a carrier. Whether or not you use a carrier depends on your needs. For example, the soft carrier is a safeguard for a tense kitten. However, all carriers must comply with the guidelines of the airline. and the side of a carrier may not be larger than 17″ (43.18 cm) by 12.5″ (31.75 cm) by 8.5″ (21.59 cm). Carriers can be soft or hard, but must be able to fit under the seat in front. To ensure the safety of your pet, we recommend you choose a well-ventilated and seal-proof carrier. Also, you could purchase a soft carrier from JetBlue that is specifically designed to fit under the aircraft seats. Tagging an ESA ID card to the carrier is a smart way for crew members to contact you if your pet is lost.
• Relief area: There is no pet “toilet” once you and your ESA are on board. You must solve this issue before boarding. Unfortunately, not all airports have special relief areas for pets. It is better to consult the airport staff about the locations of the relief areas pre-/post security. Otherwise, your pet has to relieve the urine before entering the airport.
5. International travel
As the ESA policies vary from place to place, you usually need to provide additional documents. For example, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands require that you provide a specific vaccination record.
